Linda and Scott Workman founded Workman Transportation in The Villages around eight years ago. They changed the company’s name from The Villages Transportation to Workman Transportation a few years ago.
The Workmans had been in the transportation industry in Orlando for almost 25 years and wanted to expand to The Villages.
Throughout the pandemic’s ups and downs, the owners and team strive to give the same services and meet the demands of their customers.
Workman Transportation no longer provides private charters from its Spanish Springs location.
Kendra Fillingham of the Village Mira Mesa is a frequent Workman Transportation customer who uses the company’s airport shuttles when she travels.
“I have always had good experiences with them, and I prefer to continue with the same company,” she said.
When her family comes to visit, they also use the shuttle.
“I think it is run very efficiently and on time,” Fillingham said.
Workman Transportation also provides day trips throughout Florida as well as multi-day travel to other states. Upcoming day activities include a picturesque boat cruise and lunch at Crystal River and a visit to ZooTampa at Lowry Park.
