William L. Oxbrough (78) passed away on June 27, 2021 surrounded by his wife of 56 years and children.
William (Bill, Butch) was born in Catskill, NY on April 12, 1943. He had graduated from Schuyler High School in 1962 and entered the United States Navy and served 4 years before being honorably discharged. He then married the love of his life (Margo) and is survived by her and their children Wendy (Jeff) Wilcox, Thomas (Colleen) Oxbrough, Kathy (Dave) Nichols and Susan (Jeremy) Campo along with 8 grandchildren Miranda, Austin, Trevor, Zachary, Evelyn, Scarlett, Jackson and Emma.
He is also survived by his sister Gloria Oxbrough and brother Gary (Marge) Oxbrough.
Bill had retired after 36 years as a chemical operator at Organichem / AMRI in Rensselaer and moved to the Villages, Florida. He loved his family, sports (including bowling, billiards, and golf) and excursions.
Bill had the gift to gab, telling jokes (some a bit spicy)a generous heart and made friends wherever he went.
Services will be held at Beyers Funeral home in Lady Lake, details to follow. There will also be a memorial service in New York, details to follow.
