The Villages Girl Scout Alumnae will continue to collect new pajamas and books through December.
The donated goods should be for children up to 18 years old. Donations boxes can be found inside every recreation center in The Villages until Dec. 8, 2024.
This year’s drive is dedicated to the memory of Mikki Blumberg, who started the drive 16 years ago as a way to provide necessities for homeless children in the tri-county area.
The drive runs every year from October until December, and historically receives a high number of donations from Villagers. Last year, the drive set a new record of donations with more than 12,000 pairs of pajamas and 7,400 books collected.
