The Mount Dora police chief revealed that two teenage siblings have been identified as suspects in two downtown BB gun shooting incidents on June 3. The oldest sibling is 17, while the other is 13.
The incidents occurred around 8:30 p.m., according to Florida Police Scanner, where two victims were struck at two separate locations in downtown Mount Dora.
One of the victims, a 69-year-old woman, was struck between her eyes. The victim claimed that while it stung, she is okay.
It was the teens parents who contacted Mount Dora Police Department (MDPD) with the tip. In an interview, both teens stated they were “just having fun.”
Both teenagers are facing charges of battery, while the 17-year-old could be facing more serious charges if any of the downtown victims have been seriously injured.
