All animals adopted at the shelter are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, microchipped and have received heart worm and flea prevention medication. In addition, dogs are tested for heart worm disease. Heinz has tested positive for heartworm disease. He has started the pre-treatment process and will need to be fostered until the end of treatment.
Adoption fees are currently waived. The shelter is currently over capacity and is desperately calling for those interested to adopt.
The shelter is open daily from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at 819 CR 529, Lake Panasoffkee, FL 33585.
