Buford knows how to entertain with his goofy personality and loving demeanor.
And most importantly, he’d love to find his forever home.
The shelter notes that Buford is well-behaved around people, knows how to sit, walks well on the leash, and is overall a laid-back pooch. When not giving love, Buford loves playing with his toys; he is known to proudly carry his toys around with him before organizing them around his bed. Due to his love of attention, the shelter believes he would do best as the only dog in a household. However, he does seem to do fine with calmer dogs.
Buford is believed to be a lab/hound mix.
All adoption fees are currently waived. Animals adopted are vaccinated for rabies and other common diseases, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and have received heart worm and flea prevention while at the shelter.
Sumter County Animal Services is open Thursday through Monday from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. at 819 CR 529, Lake Panasofffkee, FL 33585. Appointments only for Tuesday and Wednesday.
