Patsy Dee Beneventi (nee Carlock) of Lockport, IL, age 86, passed away peacefully at Silver Cross hospital on Monday June 21, 2021 while surrounded by her family.
Born August 28th, 1934 in Fairmont, IL to Edward (Shorty) and Agnes Carlock. She attended Lockport High School where she participated in many sports and activities. Patsy was a great cheerleader for Lockport High, as well as a gymnast. She also loved bowling, golfing, and swimming.
After graduation she married John A. Beneventi on May 8, 1954, and had two children. John served in the US army and served in the Korean war. They were lifetime members of Lockport, and they spent many happy and active years of their retirement in The Villages in Lady Lake, Florida. They enjoyed many activities while there, and were on the various leagues for cheerleading, golfing, and bowling. They had a beautiful lemon tree in their yard, and had a great time riding around in their golf cart and swimming at the pools with their friends.
She is survived by a sister, Cheryl Lee (Carlock) Jeans of Lemont, A daughter Diane Gay (Joseph) Mueller of Lockport, a son John “Jay” (Elizabeth) Beneventi of Lockport, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Patsy will be held at Goodale Memorial Chapel in Lockport on June 30, 2021, from 2-7pm.
