Residents who wish to safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription medication can do so this weekend.
Operation Medicine Cabinet will be taking place on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Villages Walmart located at 4085 Wedgewood Lane.
The event comes through a partnership between Sumter County Sheriff’s Office and Sumter CAP in efforts to prevent improper disposal of medication, drug misuse or injury.
Residents can easily drive up and drop off their medications. No needles or liquids will be accepted.
