Sumter County Animal Services, along with animal services from eight other counties, will be participating in the Second Annual Team Godwin Foundation Mega Adoption Event at the Strawberry Festival Fairgrounds this weekend.
The event will have over 300 dogs available, eagerly hoping to go their new, forever homes. All of the dogs have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
In addition, during the event, all adoption fees will be waived.
Last year’s event proved successful with a total of 240 dogs adopted, 30 of which came from Sumter County.
The Mega Dog Adoption Event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 17 through 19, at 2508 W. Oak Ave., Plant City.
