On July 5, 2023, a 77-year-old woman was shopping at the Walmart Neighborhood Market located at 7855 SW Highway 200 in Ocala. While she was there, the suspect stole her purse out of a shopping cart and then attempted to use the victim’s credit card to make a $1,313.96 purchase at the electronics section of another Walmart. Luckily, that transaction was declined. The suspect then left Walmart, taking the victim’s purse and a soda that he did not pay for. The suspect then went to Circle K at 7580 SW Highway 200 and used the victim’s credit card to purchase gasoline. He then discarded the victim’s purse, leaving it at the pumps.
