On Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Jewish Federation of The Villages and Greater Sumter County will be hosting the “May-Jongg Mania” tournament at the Lake Square Mall in Leesburg. This will be the first of three.
“The tournament is a fundraiser to help support the expansion of Beacon College, a private school in Leesburg designed to serve students with specific learning disabilities,” Janice Hirsch, president of the Jewish Federation of The Villages and Greater Sumter County, said. “Proceeds also benefit Israeli children dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder from the armed conflict in Middle East.”
It is $40 per player to enter. To register for Mah-Jongg Mania or to learn more about the group and their upcoming events, visit jfedthevillages.org.
