Each year the Lake County Sheriff’s Charities, Inc. provides a scholarship to an employee’s child to pursue a career in public safety. This year’s recipient is Gabriel Schlabach, son of Detective Sergeant Joe Schlabach and his wife Jen.
Gabriel is currently enrolled in Lake Technical College’s Institute of Public Safety’s basic law enforcement program and is currently in the process of being hired by Lake County Sheriff’s Office. He will be graduating in December.
