The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Charities, Inc. will be holding their 9th annual bass fishing tournament on Jan. 22, 2022. The tournament will be held at Hickory Point Recreation Park in Tavares.
For entries submitted by Jan. 14, 2022, the entry fee will be $100 per boat. After the said date, boats will cost $120. Only two contestants will be permitted on each boat. Boat operators must be 18 years of age. A parent’s signature is required for any minor fishing in the event. The entry form must be completely filled out and signed by both contestants.
Boats must be 16 feet or longer with properly working aerated live-wells and kill switch. No overpowered boats will be allowed. All boats must meet B.I.A., U.S. Coast Guard regulations. Only artificial lures may be used. Life jackets must be worn anytime the outboard is running until check in. Kill switches must be attached to the driver anytime the combustion motor is running. Each contestant is expected to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation.
