At 6:50 a.m. on June 6, a dump truck was driving north on S Pine Ave. approaching the SW 17th St. intersection, and entered the left turn lane. A motorcycle was traveling south approaching the same intersection. As the truck began to cross through the intersection making a left turn, both the dump truck and motorcycle collided.
According to Florida Police Scanner, the motorcyclist died at the scene and his family has been notified. There were no other injuries.
This crash is still under investigation.
