As most Villagers know, The Villages spans through three different counties. Here are the number of new COVID cases as of Mar. 9, according to the CDC website.
In Lake County, there have been 264 new cases over the last week. 30 of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and 30 resulted in death.
In Marion County, there have been 240 new cases. 48 of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and 17 resulted in death.
In Sumter County, there have been 123 new cases. 11 of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and 18 deaths were reported.
