As most Villagers know, The Villages spans through three different counties. Here are the number of new COVID cases as of July 20, according to the CDC website.
In Lake County, there have been about 255 new cases over the last week. About 19 of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and about no deaths were reported.
In Marion County, there have been 266 new cases. About 25 of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and 4 deaths were reported.
In Sumter County, there have been about 224 cases. About 19 of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and no deaths were reported.
The CDC updates the number of new cases regularly, if not daily, and anyone can view the numbers by visiting covid.cdc.gov.
