A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Monday to mark the start of construction for The Villages’ first Hooters location.
The restaurant is scheduled to open early this summer at Lake Deaton Plaza.
Once completed, the restaurant will cover 4,500 square feet inside as well as offer an outdoor patio.
The announcement for the new Hooters location came last summer and has left a buzz in the community.
“Florida has been a tried-and-true state for many years,” said Neil Kiefer, CEO of HMC Hospitality Group, “The people in The Villages have asked for Hooters, and we are here to deliver.”
