Russ, an adult male, Black Mouth Cur, is hoping to find a place to call home while he undergoes treatment for heartworm.
Heartworm disease is spread via a mosquito bite between animals, but animals on heartworm prevention are not contagious.
To be eligible to foster, you must live within 35 miles from Sumter County Animal Services, have a valid form of identification and a proof of rabies vaccination for other dogs, cats or ferrets in a household.
