The Villages Concert Band Conductor Jean Butler has put together a lively, energetic playlist for the Band’s Spring Concert. She opens the production with the band playing Sousa’s “Manhattan Beach March,” and continues with Ravel’s “Bolero” and excerpts from the finale of Dvorák’s “Symphony No. 9.” Adding to the excitement is a mallet percussion feature, “Serenade for a Picket Fence.”
And what would a spring concert be without including a few musical theater songs like selections from “My Fair Lady,” and “America” from “West Side Story?”
So why not swing into spring by grabbing some friends and treating them to the band’s annual spring concert. The performance is scheduled at New Covenant United Methodist Church located at 3470 Woodridge Drive, The Villages.
The show will take place Thursday, April 11 at 7 p.m.
The $15 tickets are available through the band’s website or at the door of the event. Proceeds from this concert are shared with the Ministries of New Covenant Church. For those who prefer to arrive with tickets, the following is the purchasing process:
