In efforts to support area children, the town of Lady Lake will host “School Supplies for Fines” during the month of July.
During the month, library fines and overdue materials will be forgiven in exchange for donations of school supply items.
Donations will be accepted at the Lady Lake library at 225 W. Guava St., during regular hours. There are no limits to the number of donations per person. However, fines cannot be forgiven for library items that are lost or damaged.
Those without fines can also donate — each item donated will be used anonymously to forge another person’s fines.
Items that can be donated include: crayons, colored pencils, markers, backpacks and more.
