In Magnolia Plaza, the latest Salon Jaylee launched, offering hair cuts, dyes and styles, as well as manicures and pedicures. Salon Jaylee President Janet West said the launch has been months in the making, and she’s thrilled that it’s finally open to the public. The epidemic, according to West, threw a wrench in their plans for opening, but it was worth the wait now that they’ve finally celebrated the grand opening. The interior is a tweaked open concept with partial walls separating sinks and chairs from the rest of the room.
“When people walk in, we want them to feel welcomed and excited to get a new look,” West said. “We want customers to have the best experience when they come in.”
Salon Jaylee has a number of locations around The Villages. The newest is in Magnolia Plaza, but there are many others in Colony Plaza and Sothern Trace Plaza. The salon on Rolling Acres shut after 15 years before the new site opened.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of Shear Madness, which began in October 1986 in La Plaza Grande.
West and the rest of the Salon Jaylee team worked hard to achieve their objective of opening in Magnolia Plaza.
Customers can now easily schedule appointments at the Magnolia Plaza salon, regardless of where they live.
“We really wanted to serve the community south of State Road 44,” West said. “No one should have to drive very far to get their hair styled.”
Each Salon Jaylee location has top-notch stylists that work hard to earn their qualifications and complete a certain number of hours.
Whether you need your highlights retouched, a new color applied or extensions added, each hair stylist is trained to make you look and feel your best.
